The question that we hear over and over. What is next? This question comes to us from both buyers and sellers but today we will be discussing what happens next from a buyer’s perspective.
I think that we can all agree that buying a home is not always easy nor does the process always look the same. Every purchase is unique and has different contingencies with different needs on both the buying and selling side. Since this is the case, how can buyers know what to expect or the process? It is simple! Hire an agent/broker who will communicate the process. Easier said than done.
Have you heard the expression, “I don’t know what I don’t know”? It also relates to buying a home. Sometimes as professionals we forget that a buyer may not know the questions to ask to get the answers they need. We have created a quick overview of the process. Click “Free Home Buyers’ Guide” for a quick overview and always feel free to reach out to our office for guidance.
When deciding you are ready to buy a house there are two steps that are very important. First (and yes, order matters!), talk to a lender and get pre-approved. We cannot stress enough how important this step is! Next, equally important but needs to happen after receiving your pre-approval letter, find a real estate professional that you trust. The three top characteristics we suggest that you look for is their ability to listen, communication skills, trustworthiness and make sure they are a person that being close to for 30-60 days will not drive you crazy!
